We are looking for an experienced technical personality who works closely with our management, project managers, and design department, takes responsibility, provides technical justification for decisions, and actively develops our engineering. This is not primarily about people management, but about technical leadership, technical judgment, and the ability to move others forward with good solutions. You will use your freedom, tackle topics independently, and reliably bring projects to a successful conclusion, even when they become technically challenging.

What this role involves

As Technical Lead Engineering / Lead Engineer, you will be one of ISTinox's technical minds. You will take on technical responsibility for demanding projects and support our project managers wherever in-depth engineering, calculations, or process engineering knowledge is required. You will work closely with management, project management, design, purchasing, and production.

• Receiving client inquiries: Take on technical client inquiries in the initial contact, identify initial ideas and needs, and guide them into further project clarification as a competent point of contact.
• Developing concepts: Develop technically sound and economical solution and plant concepts.
• Plants and components: Plan, calculate, and dimension plants and components.
• Engineering: Be responsible for process engineering and mechanical engineering in demanding projects.
• Technical foundations: Develop clear technical foundations for project management and design, and ensure that solutions also function in manufacturing and assembly.
• Complex client projects: Accompany complex client projects from the concept phase to technical implementation.
• Support and sparring: Support our project managers with challenging technical questions as a technical sparring partner.
• Technical review: Review concepts, designs, and critical components with a high standard of quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with management, project management, design, purchasing, and production.
• Standards and processes: Pragmatically develop technical standards, methods, and processes.

What you bring

• Education and professional experience: Ideally a technical basic training as a designer, plant and apparatus builder, polymechanic, or a degree in mechanical engineering FH/ETH, ideally with a specialization in process engineering, as well as several years of experience in process plant construction.
• Technical understanding: Very good understanding of design, calculation, and technical specification.
• Custom solutions: Experience with demanding, customer-specific plants and solutions.
• Problem-solving: Enjoy analyzing technical problems systematically and solving them pragmatically.
• Technical support: Ability to provide technical support to designers and project managers.
• Work style: Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
• Language skills: Good German and English language skills.
