Technical Leadership (m/w/d) & Focus Event Planning

The Westhafen Leipzig is a versatile event location with festival character: 4 floors (4 indoor, 2 outdoor), up to 2,000 guests, and a strongly growing event program. To take our technical operations to the next level, we are looking for a Technical Leadership with a clear focus on structure, planning, and organization.

In this position, you will be responsible for the overall technical planning and coordination of all events. You will ensure that our shows not only function but are also well-prepared, efficiently executed, and professionally managed.

Your focus lies on forward-looking planning rather than reacting at short notice.

Tasks

- Overall responsibility for the technical planning of all events on 5 floors
Creation and implementation of clear setup, teardown, and dismantling concepts
Structured deployment and personnel planning of the technical team
- Early organization of all technical operations based on long-term event planning
- Coordination of materials, equipment, and technical resources
- Ensuring a smooth, professional workflow before, during, and after the events
- Building clear structures, processes, and standards in the technical field
Close coordination with event leadership, production, and external partners
- Leadership and further development of the technical team

Qualification

- Experience in event lighting technology, ideally with leadership responsibility
- Strong organizational talent and structured work style
Ability to plan and coordinate complex operations early on
- Experience in team leadership and personnel deployment planning
Hands-on mentality and understanding of operational implementation at events
- Tolerance and overview even when dealing with parallel floors and high event density
- Communication strength and clear decision-making ability
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and event shifts
