Then come to us at the Leibniz Computing Centre as: Technical Staff (m/w/d) Network Maintenance Communications Networks What awaits you with us: Your task area includes the maintenance of active communication networks and their components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. You will also be responsible for monitoring network performance, troubleshooting errors, and optimizing network configurations to ensure optimal data transfer rates. In addition, you will support the development and implementation of new network technologies and protocols. Your work will involve close collaboration with our IT teams, as well as with other departments and institutions. Requirements: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, telecommunications engineering, or a related field - At least 2 years of experience in network maintenance and administration - Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network architectures (LAN, WAN, MAN) - Experience with network management systems (NMS) and network monitoring tools - Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
