Technical Preparer Mechanical Engineering

As a Technical Preparer Mechanical Engineering, you are responsible for the creation, management, and optimization of technical parts lists and production data. You form the link between R&D, production, and other internal departments and ensure that technical designs are correctly translated into usable information for production.

• You translate technical designs and engineering parts lists into production-oriented parts lists (BOM), taking into account the production and assembly sequence.
• You create 2D production drawings and assembly instructions and add the necessary raw materials and components.
• You create new material and raw material items and ensure correct registration of technical data.
• You compile sales-oriented parts lists based on production data.
• You check and optimize technical product data within the PLM system (Windchill).
• You ensure correct transfer of technical data to the ERP system (SAP) and follow up on further processing.
• You manage technical product changes and coordinate adjustments with engineering, production, and other internal departments.
• You handle change requests from production and coordinate any adjustments to parts lists or technical designs.
• You actively participate in the improvement and standardization of work preparation processes, parts list management, and technical data flows.

For this position as Technical Preparer Mechanical Engineering, we are looking for an analytical and accurate technical profile with insight into production processes. You work in a structured manner, communicate smoothly with different departments, and enjoy contributing to technical and organizational improvements.

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field, preferably electromechanics or industrial sciences, or equivalent experience.
• You have experience with technical preparation, parts list management (BOM), PLM and/or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Windchill and SAP is a strong asset.
• You can easily read and interpret technical drawings and 3D CAD models.
• You have insight into production processes, assembly, and mechanical engineering.
• You work accurately and in a structured manner and attach great importance to correct technical data.
• You are analytical and think solution-oriented about process improvements.
• You can independently set priorities and follow up on files meticulously.
• You are a strong communicator and enjoy working together with various technical and operational departments.
• A good knowledge of Dutch is a must.
