Technical Support Engineer

At DeWarmte, we make smart and affordable heat pumps that help homes switch from gas. We design our products ourselves, assemble them in Utrecht, and together with our installation partners, ensure they are installed in more and more homes.

An increasing number of homes are being heated with our heat pumps. And that means we also need to monitor more and more installations, support customers, and solve technical problems.

That's why we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our support team.

You will assist customers and technicians with technical questions, investigate faults, and ensure our heat pumps continue to function optimally. At the same time, you look beyond today's problems. Why does a fault occur? How can we prevent it in the future? And how can we organize our support more intelligently?

So you not only solve problems, but also help us to continuously improve our products and service.

What will you do?

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be an important point of contact for technical questions about our heat pumps. You will combine technical insight with customer contact and work closely with our service, product, and engineering teams.

You will assist customers and technicians with technical problems

• You will analyze faults and determine what is wrong, for example, by examining system data and settings.

• You will support customers by phone and email with technical questions and problems.

• You will assist installers and service technicians in solving technical issues.

• You will adjust heat pump settings where necessary to optimize their performance.

• You will engage service technicians when a problem cannot be resolved remotely and ensure a smooth handover.

You will help make our support smarter and better

• You will identify recurring problems and contribute to structural solutions.

• You will create and improve technical documentation, manuals, and work instructions.

• You will share practical insights with our product and engineering teams so that we can further improve our heat pumps.

• You will contribute to how we can improve and automate our processes and systems.

You will join a growing team where not everything is yet established. This means you can learn a lot, take on responsibility, and influence how we work.

What do you bring?

We are looking for someone who is technically curious, enjoys solving problems, and gets energy from helping others. You don't need to be an expert in heat pumps yet. We are happy to teach you how our systems work.

What we value:

• You have a completed technical bachelor's degree, for example, in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field.

• You have technical and analytical insight and enjoy figuring out how systems work.

• You communicate clearly and pleasantly, even with people who have less technical knowledge.

• You speak and write Dutch fluently.

• You are independent, eager to learn, and take initiative when you see something that can be improved.

• You enjoy working with both technology and people.

• You are available at least 4 days a week.

Nice to have, but certainly not a requirement:

• Experience with technical support, troubleshooting, or customer contact.

• Knowledge of heat pumps, installation technology, or other technical systems.

• Experience with Python, data analysis, or process automation.

• A salary of €3,000 to €4,000 gross per month based on a full-time employment, depending on your experience.
