Job Description

Wrenching on unique equipment: Your next technical challenge
Are you looking for a job where you work with your hands on important equipment and go beyond the standard APK (MOT) inspection? With us, you get the unique opportunity to work with technology you'll never encounter in a regular garage. Whether it's combat vehicles, complex electronic networks, or powerful marine equipment; you ensure everything is 100% operational for the safety of our units.

Who are we?

You are part of the Land Materiel Logistics Command (MatlogCo), the expert center within the armed forces for the (complex) maintenance of all land systems.

What this job offers you
With us, your growth and control over your own work are central. We believe in your craftsmanship and offer you the space to truly become a specialist. You can expect this from us:

  • Complete freedom in your profession: You determine the best method and the order of your repairs yourself. We fully trust your technical insight.
  • Continuous learning at our expense: Whether it's specific maintenance training for brand-new equipment or additional courses; we pay for and facilitate your training so that your knowledge always remains up-to-date.
  • Direct results and variety: You advise colleagues and clients directly on substantive issues, allowing you to see the impact of your work immediately. Thanks to varied assignments and potential mobile jobs on location, no day is the same.
  • A close-knit and collegial team: You work in a professional maintenance crew where collaboration, short lines of communication, and a pleasant working atmosphere are paramount. Meaningful work goes hand in hand with a good work-life balance here.

Your role: Choose the direction that suits you
Within our teams, we are looking for reinforcement in various technical areas. Depending on your background and interests, you can focus on one of the following directions:

  • Vehicle Mechanic / Vehicle Technology: You independently perform preventive, corrective, and modification maintenance on impressive land systems and advanced vehicles such as the Boxer, Fennek, or Bushmaster. You diagnose faults with modern diagnostic equipment and conduct test drives to ensure deployability.
  • Electronics Mechanic: You are the expert for complex ground-based systems and electronic networks. You think in systems, perform analyses, and resolve complex faults directly at the source.
  • Marine Equipment Mechanic: You are the specialist who keeps our ships and materiel logistics systems sailing and running. You perform both mechanical and electrical repairs and only declare the equipment ready after a successful test voyage.
  • Armament Mechanic: You focus on the specialized maintenance, modifications, and reliability of the weapon systems and underlying components of our robust equipment.

In every role, you are also the indispensable link with the warehouse for your parts and ensure that your own tools and documentation are always in top condition.

Job Requirements

What you bring
You are a technical talent with a proactive attitude, an analytical mind, and a passion for complex equipment. Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • Education: You have a completed MBO 2 or 3 education in a relevant technical field (e.g., Automotive Technology, EBAT, Vehicle Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent).
  • Technical foundation: You have experience or affinity with applied techniques such as hydraulics, welding, electronics, fuel injection systems, or machine maintenance.
  • Communicative and eager to learn: You easily liaise with colleagues or clients and are willing to continue growing through courses. Specific certifications such as a Boating License or a certificate as a Master Craftsman / F-gas mechanic are a plus (or you are willing to obtain them).

Ready to take control of unique technical systems and directly contribute to global safety? Apply now and discover how we can optimally utilize your technical expertise!
