Technical Real Estate Inspector

You start your day with new notifications and schedule an inspection at one of the GVB locations. On-site, you will check buildings and installations, assess executed maintenance, and discuss deviations with colleagues and contractors. As a technical real estate inspector, you ensure that our buildings remain safe, reliable, and well-maintained. What you will do

As a technical real estate inspector, you will be present at our locations a lot. You will inspect buildings and building-related installations, assess their technical condition, and identify maintenance defects, risks, and deviations. You will check the quality of work carried out by contractors and other external parties and ensure compliance with safety regulations and laws and regulations.

In addition, you will handle technical notifications, investigate issues, and advise the real estate coordinator on appropriate maintenance measures. You will carefully record findings in the real estate management system and prepare inspection reports so that a reliable overview of the maintenance status of our real estate portfolio is maintained.

You will be involved with, among other things:

• carrying out inspections and site rounds of buildings and installations;
• checking maintenance work and project completions;
• monitoring the quality, safety, and progress of work;
• preparing inspection reports and recording findings;
• advising on maintenance, repair measures, and priorities.

What you bring

You are a technical professional who enjoys being on the work floor. You critically examine the condition of buildings and installations, identify deviations promptly, and dare to take responsibility when a situation requires it. You work independently but also actively seek collaboration with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers.

You also bring:

• an MBO level 3 or 4 diploma in a technical field;
• experience in real estate management, building maintenance, or building-related installations;
• knowledge of real estate, building-related installations, safety regulations, and relevant laws and regulations;
• a VCA diploma and driver's license B;
• knowledge of NEN 2767;
• technical knowledge of, among others, electrical, mechanical, sanitary, and structural installations.

In this role, you will use various competencies daily. You are analytical because you assess technical situations and recognize risks early on. You are decisive when you need to determine which measures are necessary and when work needs to be stopped. With your communication skills, you address contractors and suppliers on quality and safety and provide clear advice to colleagues. Additionally, you work precisely when recording inspections, findings, and reports, and you are solution-oriented by looking beyond identifying a problem and contributing to the best next step.

• A salary between €2,857 and €4,051 gross per month, scale 7, based on 36 hours, depending on education and experience.

Your team

You will join Real Estate Management within the Facilities Department. This department is responsible for the management and maintenance of GVB's buildings, grounds, and building-related installations. Together, you ensure that locations remain safe, reliable, and well-maintained.

The day starts jointly within the team, and there is a lot of contact with colleagues during work. Lunches are also often taken together, and colleagues gather to exchange knowledge and experiences. You will work closely with managers, mechanics, project leaders, suppliers, and contractors. You will have a lot of personal responsibility within a team where craftsmanship and collaboration go hand in hand.
