Technical Assistant

For the role of Technical Assistant at a warm family organization in Geraardsbergen, you are looking for a position where technology, structure, and contact with people come together nicely.

In this role, you are an important link between customers, suppliers, production, and the team on the work floor. You will be given responsibility, variety, and room to further develop your technical insight within an environment where short communication lines and clear agreements make the day a bit more enjoyable.

Your tasks:

• Placing orders with suppliers and/or the production department;
• Independently drawing and technically preparing projects;
• Monitoring and correctly applying technical specifications for windows and doors;
• Acting as a point of contact for assigned projects in aluminum and wood, among others;
• Maintaining contact with suppliers and customers in a professional, solution-oriented manner;
• Contributing ideas for practical solutions and monitoring the progress of files;
• Occasionally providing support in the showroom for private customers, without this becoming your main task;
• Collaborating with colleagues in a close-knit team where approach and quality go hand in hand.

Who are you?

• Preferably experience in the finishing sector or first relevant technical experience;
• Basic knowledge of wood techniques or a background in interior design is a nice plus;
• Smooth communication and a social, customer-oriented character;
• You are a real team player and can easily switch between different tasks;
• Resilience to stress and the ability to correctly assess priorities;
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and develop yourself technically;
• You work fluently with or have a basic understanding of drawing programs;
• Basic knowledge of French is handy, but not a must;
• You can work independently, but also feel comfortable in a warm group atmosphere;
• You enjoy bringing structure to files and follow-up.

A diploma is less important than a correct attitude, eagerness to learn, and a strong interest in the technical story behind windows and doors.
