Job description

Vestamatic develops and produces since 1978 motors, controls, and sensors for solar protection systems — from single-family homes to hospitals. As part of the Brel Vestamatic Group, we combine German engineering with international reach. Our products stand worldwide for quality.

In Mönchengladbach, a 7-member team works on solutions with protocols like SMI, KNX, Modbus, and Matter. Here you're not just a personal number in a corporation, but sit down with the management.

We're building a technology department — and are looking for someone who wants to lead it prospectively. No vague promises, but a concrete plan. Your onboarding will be done directly with the management.

Tasks

You develop technical solutions for the automation of solar protection systems — from the first idea to the finished installation. You work closely with sales, production, and our international R&D customers.

  • You create technical drawings with AutoCAD
  • You test new products and build mock-ups on
  • You connect solar protection systems to building systems (KNX, Modbus, RS 485)
  • You create technical documentation and instructions
  • You work with OEM customers on special solutions — also internationally (e.g., Netherlands)
  • You support in technical support inquiries from ongoing projects

Qualification

Mandatory:

  • Completed electrical engineering education (Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
  • Good German and English skills
  • Class B driver's license

Nice to have, not a must:

  • Understanding of KNX, Modbus, or RS 485 — if you don't know it yet, we'll teach you
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools
  • First contact with building automation or solar protection technology

Cross-industry entrants with an electrical engineering background are explicitly welcome. At our company, what matters is that you think technically and like to take responsibility.

Benefits

This is what awaits you:

  • €40,000 – €60,000 annual salary, depending on experience. We talk openly about money.
  • 30 days of vacation
  • Flexible working hours between 7 and 17 o'clock — no shifts, no weekends
  • Onboarding directly with the management
  • Perspective: Building and leading the technology department
  • A family-like 7-member team in Mönchengladbach
  • Modern offices, free parking spaces, dm/Aldi/Lidl within walking distance
  • Free coffee
  • Unlimited employment contract

We promise you no miracles — but a workplace where you'll be taken seriously. Real responsibility instead of job therapy. Direct feedback instead of annual meetings. A team that sticks together.

This is what we don't have: decisions that wander through committees for three months. Ideas that disappear in the drawer. Rigid 9-to-5 mentality. Anonymity in the open-plan office.

If you're interested in moving buildings with us — send us your application. No cover letter needed, CV optional.
