Field Service Technician | Day Shift | Sint-Truiden

Job Description

Daily you work on forklifts and warehouse equipment. You will receive a fully equipped Facom tool trolley.

How do they work? Every day is different. You will receive a schedule each day via your tablet. Depending on your place of residence, we will consider whether you depart from our company (where spare parts are available daily), or if you get a service bus to take home. In the latter case, your bus will be replenished at night by an external company, so you can leave directly from home to the customer. You will receive a fully equipped service bus with Facom tools.

You work from Monday to Friday. Hours may vary due to the nature of field service.

Profile
The mechanic we are looking for:

- You have a strong technical background, You are not deterred by broken engines, defective transmissions, electronic malfunctions, broken steering columns, or major repairs.
- You can solve hydraulic problems and have solid knowledge of electricity.
- You are honest, reliable, and customer-friendly.
- You can work well in a team.
- You are motivated to learn and are open to further training and education.
- You are flexible because the schedule can change during the day.
- You can handle electrical tasks independently (e.g., connecting a radio, replacing a light bulb, measuring an electrical circuit to find a fault, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of combustion engines and hydraulics is a plus.
- Mechanical insight is necessary: replacing forklift brakes, bearings, or chains.
- Perform maintenance independently, but the specifications will be taught to you by the customer.

Offer
We offer a full-time position in day shift, with the possibility of a permanent contract after a successful interim period. Your salary is negotiable and depends on experience.
