Senior Software Technician - IT & Software Procurement

The Senior Software Technician – IT & Software is responsible for the acquisition, renewal, and management of software licenses for the entire organization. The selected person will work closely with TI teams, users, and suppliers to ensure that software solutions meet operational needs while respecting security, compliance, and cost optimization standards.

Main Responsibilities

1. Software License Renewals

• Monitor and manage license expiration dates, subscriptions, maintenance contracts, and annual renewals
• Analyze the relevance of renewals based on actual usage and current needs
• Obtain, compare, and negotiate renewal proposals from suppliers
• Coordinate renewals to avoid service interruptions

2. Software Needs Validation

• Collaborate with users to analyze new software needs
• Verify if existing solutions can meet needs before initiating a purchase
• Ensure compliance with organization standards (IT architecture, security, compliance, licenses)
• Prepare recommendations and obtain necessary approvals from stakeholders

3. Purchase Order Management and Procurement

• Prepare and submit purchase orders in accordance with internal procurement processes.
• Validate information accuracy (price, quantity, terms)
• Track order progress until receipt and activation of licenses
• Verify invoices and ensure correspondence with purchase orders

4. Software License Inventory Management

• Maintain a centralized, accurate, and up-to-date software license inventory
• Track license allocation to users and optimize usage (reassignment, release, consolidation)
• Document contractual information: dates, usage rights, restrictions, supported versions, etc.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory status and renewal forecasts

5. Supplier Management

• Maintain professional relationships with software suppliers
• Negotiate prices, contractual terms, and service levels
• Track escalations related to license or compliance issues

6. Internal Team Support

• Collaborate with TI teams (infrastructure, security, development) for software integration
• Communicate changes in licenses, versions, or modalities to affected teams
• Participate in continuous process improvement for procurement and asset management
