Job description
The Job:Mettler Toledo is seeking an Industrial Field Service Technician to support clients in the Montreal region. As an Industrial Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing industrial products, executing calibrations and preventive maintenance operations, resolving first-level customer service issues, and completing precise service reports. You may also direct efforts to modernize, upgrade, and convert existing client equipment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair all Mettler Toledo products within the business group.
- Install systems and equipment, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
- Ensure client availability requirements are met and that assigned account preventive maintenance tasks are completed on time.
- Configure the system and perform tests before delivery.
- Provide technical solutions, a consulting role, and application support to clients and the sales team.
- Be responsible for resolving first-level customer complaints and billing issues.
- Ensure vehicle maintenance and upkeep are performed.
- All other assigned tasks.
A two-year college diploma in engineering, mechanics, electronics, instrumentation and/or relevant experience is required.
- A Class 5 driver's permit.
- The ability to lift, transport, and place weights and measurement equipment that can weigh up to 20 kg (calibration equipment may require moving up to 300 kg in 20 kg increments).
- Must be bilingual in French and English (English language requirement due to service to English-speaking clients, the need to communicate with the headquarters, product and technical support (including our supplier partners), the position extending to territories outside Quebec and evaluations and training followed/completed outside Canada).
- Be able to travel within Canada and the United States.
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
