Main Mission

As an Agricultural Technician - Advisor, you will play a central role in conducting on-site trials with farmers. You will work under the supervision of our agronomist and in close collaboration with farmers and engineers (Data Scientists, Computer Science, and IoT) to support the development and implementation of precision agriculture solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Accompany farmers in adopting and effectively using AgriTech solutions such as FertiX, CarboX, and YieldX, offering training and support for integrating new technologies into their agricultural practices.
• Analyze and interpret recommendation reports intended for AgricultureX clients under the supervision of our agronomist
• Contribute to designing user interfaces for AgricultureX
• Develop and maintain solid relationships with producers, providing adapted agronomic advice under the supervision of our agronomist.
• Makes fertilizer recommendations and ensures their follow-up under the surveillance of our agronomist
• Participate in projects and setting up trials in orchards, as well as data collection.
• Assist the agronomist in collecting and evaluating data to deepen our understanding of client needs and challenges on the ground
• Participate in training sessions and expert meetings.
• Participate in organizing conferences for producers.

Requirements

• Hold a DEC in agriculture or agro-alimentary sciences.
• In-depth knowledge of the agricultural sector and agro-food industry in Quebec.
• Familiarity with and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Autonomy, rigor, and proactivity.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
