Role

We are looking for a Quality Technician to join our Paris office. Working in the field alongside engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will ensure that quality is integrated into our products, from prototype to customer delivery. You will report to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

Prototype manufacturing support:

• Provide quality support during prototype assembly, ensuring builds conform to drawings, work instructions, and specifications.

• Identify and document non-conforming parts, support disposition and corrective actions alongside the engineering team.

• Assist in defining inspection methods and acceptance criteria for new components.

First Article Inspection (FAI):

• Perform first article inspections on development parts.

• Prepare and maintain FAI reports with complete traceability of inspection results.

• Ensure follow-up on FAI findings and ensure corrective actions are closed before production release.

Quality Wall – Products in development:

• Manage the quality wall checkpoint, verifying that each development unit meets defined criteria before proceeding to the next phase.

• Maintain quality wall records and provide visibility on product status and blocking reasons.

• Escalate recurring defects to Quality Engineering and Design for resolution.

After-sales support and customer sorting:

• Participate in after-sales support activities, including on-site inspection and customer product sorting as needed.

• Perform visual and dimensional checks to identify non-conforming units, isolate defective products, and document findings.

• Act as a quality representative on-site, liaising between the customer and internal teams to effectively resolve quality issues.

• Feed back field observations to the development center to drive corrective actions and product improvements.

Quality System and Continuous Improvement:

• Ensure inspection and non-conformity reports are correctly documented in appropriate tools (Jira, Confluence, or QMS).

• Contribute to the improvement of inspection processes and quality wall criteria over time.

Prerequisites

• Technical degree in quality, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.

• First experience in a quality inspection or manufacturing quality role, ideally in the aerospace, defense, or high-tech sectors.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and use standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

• Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes is a plus.

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and EN 9100 standards.

• Meticulous, rigorous, and comfortable working in a workshop environment.

• Team spirit and good communication skills.

• Good level of English; availability to travel to customer sites if necessary.
