User Support Technician

Technician-User Support Description of the job As a user support technician within the IT Sector of the Vaud Cantonal Police (PCV), you ensure 1st and 2nd level user support for the entire Police Information System. You advise and support users on the choice and use of equipment and its functioning, and contribute to the evolution of practices and methods of the helpdesk. Your main responsibilities will include: Providing user support for all Police Information System applications; Assisting users in resolving technical issues related to equipment and software; Collaborating with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems; Participating in the development of new procedures and methods for the helpdesk; Maintaining accurate records of incidents, requests, and resolutions. The ideal candidate will have: A degree in computer science or a related field; At least 2 years of experience in user support or a related field; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; Familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
