Metrology Technician

Job description

Main responsibilities: · Apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibrate measuring equipment in electrical, dimensional, optical, physical, mechanical, environmental, and/or chemical disciplines to ensure the precision of measurements. · Ensure recurrent performance qualification (mapping) of all cold rooms, freezing chambers, ambient areas, and freezers. · Assure the maintenance of a clean and organized work environment. · Participate in the development and implementation of new measurement methods and procedures. · Collaborate with other departments to improve the quality of measurements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. · Perform routine checks on measuring equipment to ensure proper functioning. · Document all measurements and results, as well as any issues or malfunctions encountered. · Provide training and support to colleagues on measurement techniques and procedures. · Stay up-to-date with new developments in metrology and related fields.
