Job description
The job of logistics technician is based on the operational management of supplies, storage, and distribution of resources (tools, spare parts, supplies, technical equipment, military equipment). You work directly with maintenance, transport, and intervention teams. You also ensure the maintenance of inventories, control of logistics data, and management of orders via specialized software.
A salary equal between men and women at the same post and hierarchical level.

The training for the logistics technician job includes two distinct phases:
- 15 weeks of learning military basics at the École de Formation des Sous-Officiers de l'armée de l'Air et de l'Espace (EFSOAAE) located in Rochefort
- 15 weeks of Initial Professional Training (FPI) at EFSOAA
You will follow a paid training:
The entry into logistics technician training marks your entry into this professional career. Even if you are not yet a diploma holder, you have the salary expected for this job during the training to focus on learning your new missions.
Becoming a logistics technician within the Air and Space Army, it means:
- Receiving and controlling equipment;
- Packing and shipping equipment;
- Conditioning and storing equipment;
- Performing distributions, reintegrations, and exchanges of equipment;
- Ensuring the maintenance and accounting of equipment;
- Piloting or executing the deployment of equipment on operation theaters;
- Ensuring the follow-up in repair and elimination of equipment;
- Supervising a team of warehousemen and carriers.
