Water Damage Technician

First Onsite is seeking a full-time water damage technician to save the day of our residential and commercial clients as the first responder in case of an emergency related to water. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WATER DAMAGE TECHNICIAN
As a water damage technician, you are the first responder on commercial and residential properties when disasters related to water occur. You are the calm after the storm and your helpful attitude alleviates our clients' concerns. By stabilizing, cleaning, and placing drying equipment, you prepare for restoration. Once arrived at the client's site, you manage emergency intervention activities on-site, including pumping water, cleaning carpets, removing drywall, attenuating, etc. You configure deodorization, negative air, ozone, thermal fogging, and connected equipment. Monitoring the drying process, you adjust equipment as needed.
Your excellent communication skills help you work in collaboration with construction and content teams. Health and safety are important to you, so you respect all policies and procedures and ensure they are followed by other employees and subcontractors. You are an active person who likes being active and is not afraid to take the initiative and make things happen. You are proud of your work and feel good about being able to save the day for our community members while helping us retain our clientele!
QUALIFICATIONS
- Secondary education diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in English and French
- At least 1 year of experience in the construction or restoration industry (relevant experience in cleaning may be considered)
- Capacity to pass a background check
- Availability for regular work shifts on call and after hours
- A valid driver's license is preferred but not necessarily required.
