Traveling Maintenance Technician (M/F)

Our company, Signode, a specialist in packaging and strapping, is looking for its future collaborator for the position of Traveling After-Sales Service Maintenance Technician. Area of intervention:

·       The Grand Est region of France mainly, and France

·       Expect to be away from home 3 to 4 nights per week

Main objectives

·       Repairs, machine installations, and spare parts management

·       Commissioning of simple and/or complex equipment

·       Management of resources related to the position (vehicle, tools…)

·       Preparation of intervention reports

Main missions

·       Breakdown/maintenance/commissioning interventions…

·       Review the schedule established by the customer service department

·       Determine the type of intervention (breakdown, maintenance…), the number of machines, the intervention conditions (height, heat, chemicals, electrical work…) …

·       Install and commission simple equipment

·       Train the customer on simple and/or complex equipment

·       Ensure good working conditions (clean premises, safety measures) otherwise request that this be done, either directly with the client or with their manager

·       Identify a need/intervention to be scheduled in order to trigger the establishment of a quote

·       Spare parts management and activity report entry

·       Check spare parts supply via physical stock and retrieve parts

·       Maintain work equipment in good condition or have it repaired if necessary (vehicle, phone, computer, toolbox…)

Key competencies

·       You hold a Bac pro / BTS in electromechanics or a similar diploma

·       You are capable of reading a technical drawing or diagram and a layout plan

·       You have mastered mechanical, pneumatic, electrical techniques, and automation

·       You are autonomous to ensure optimal efficiency

·       Knowledge of English is a plus
