At The Home Depot Tool Rental Center, we provide our customers with the tools and equipment they need to get their jobs done. As a Tool Rental Technician, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our customers have a positive experience by providing them with the right equipment and support. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining the equipment and the rental center.

At The Home Depot Tool Rental Center, we provide our customers with the tools and equipment they need to get their jobs done. As a Tool Rental Technician, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our customers have a positive experience by providing them with the right equipment and support. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining the equipment and the rental center.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their tool rental needs.
- Listen to customers’ needs and recommend appropriate tools and equipment.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain rental equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Process rental transactions accurately using our Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Advise customers on the safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of tools and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized rental center environment.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed to move and manage inventory.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a related field is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
