Technician: Gold and Biometallurgy

Job Description MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To perform the role of Technician within the Gold & Biometallurgy division, although duties may be required within other departments of the Metallurgy division. The responsibilities and authorities of the Technician in the Gold and Biometallurgy division, in relation to requirements of managerial, technical and key support personnel, are outlined in this document. RESPONSIBILITIES The metallurgist shall adhere to the following: Take control over data processing and analysis; Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with established procedures and guidelines; Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery; Conduct experiments and tests as required; Provide technical assistance and support to other departments; Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. REQUIREMENTS The Technician shall have the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mining or related field; 2-3 years of experience in a similar role; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
