Technical Project Manager
Job description
Job Summary: The Technical Project Manager (TPM) orchestrates complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across research, development, deployment, and ecosystem partnerships. You’ll bridge technical teams, academia, government partners, and commercial stakeholders—ensuring projects deliver on scope, timeline, and quality while proactively identifying risks and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Project Planning & Execution - Define scope, objectives, milestones, and success metrics; develop project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies; ensure timely and within-budget delivery of projects. • Stakeholder Management - Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including technical teams, academia, government partners, and commercial stakeholders; facilitate communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution among stakeholders. • Risk & Issue Management - Identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project scope, timeline, or quality; develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts. • Continuous Improvement - Drive continuous improvement by monitoring project performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to optimize project outcomes. Key Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, computer science, business administration); Master’s degree preferred. • 5+ years of experience in technical project management or related field; experience with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) is an asset. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think critically and strategically. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks effectively.
