Technical Product Manager:in AI & Operations (m/f/d) in an AI Startup

To achieve this, we combine psychological and didactic expertise with modern AI technology to create an interactive, practice-oriented, and location-independent learning experience. As a spin-off of FEEDBACKPEOPLE Management Consulting, we have successfully launched on the market. Our goal: to make GrowInTheRole the internationally leading player in AI-powered leadership development. GERMANY-WIDE (REMOTE POSSIBLE) | STARTING IMMEDIATELY | STARTING SALARY: €50,000 - €60,000 ANNUAL SALARY (FOR 40 HOURS/WEEK)

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the technical operation of our AI-powered learning platform – from the quality of new features to the infrastructure behind it. You will be the interface between product, technology, and the AI services that GrowInTheRole is based on, and you will actively contribute to the development of our product strategy.

• Product Development & Prioritization: You will work at the interface between our psychology team, which is responsible for content, and backend and frontend development. You will translate between the three: You will incorporate content requirements into technical implementation, provide feedback on development progress, and ensure that everyone is talking about the same thing. With your insights from testing, support, and technology scouting, you will provide input for our product roadmap and prioritize what will be implemented next. You will systematically test new features, identify problems early on, and decide when a feature can go live.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: You will build and continuously develop our QA processes. When errors occur, you will systematically test frontend and backend and verify after fixing that everything works as expected. You will use our ticketing system for clarity and traceability. This way, you ensure that our users receive a stable, reliable learning experience.
• Google Cloud, Infrastructure & AI Services: You will administer our Google Cloud environment and the access to our third-party AI providers: projects, permissions, quotas, costs. You will configure and integrate new platforms and AI services together with the team and ensure that our infrastructure remains secure, well-documented, and scalable.
• Technical Support & User Research: You will answer user inquiries and quickly and attentively assist with technical problems. You will systematically evaluate inquiries, feedback, and usage This is how you will uncover bugs and derive from them where our learning experience can be further improved.
• Technology Scouting: You will observe the market for LLMs, Text-to-Speech, Speech-to-Text, and Video Avatars, pragmatically evaluate new models and tools, and provide well-founded recommendations. Your assessments will shape how our AI stack continues to evolve.

Qualifications

• Diligence & Structured Work: Accuracy is crucial in testing. You work systematically, document comprehensibly, and have an eye for details that others miss.
• Tech Affinity & Technical Understanding: You are interested in Generative AI and are eager to delve deeply into the technical aspects of our product and the underlying platforms. Technical affinity, curiosity, and your willingness to quickly learn new topics are crucial.
• Communication Skills: You speak fluent German and English. You move confidently between the perspectives of the psychology team, development, and users, and mediate between them, even when interests diverge. You explain technical matters understandably, provide feedback clearly and constructively, and document in a way that others can work with.
• Startup Mindset & Self-Responsibility: You are eager to work in a dynamic startup environment with flexibility, pace, and creative freedom. You act with self-responsibility and a solution-oriented approach. Missing processes do not stress you out but motivate you to build structures yourself.
• Background: You have a technical background and a completed university degree. Ideally, you have initial professional experience in areas such as technical product management, IT administration, cloud, or QA/testing. Therefore, you bring experience in administering cloud environments (ideally Google Cloud) and managing accesses, permissions, and projects. Experience in software development is highly welcome.
