Technical Product Manager (m/f/d)

Full Time Lead

Job description

Your Mission at ucm:

As a Technical Product Manager, you translate concrete problems from customers, flexible employees, and internal teams into solutions that prove themselves in real-world application and can then be scaled through processes, software, or AI. To achieve this, you work hands-on with data, prototypes, automations, and product specifications, connecting business areas and engineering from initial problem understanding to productive deployment.

You ensure that ucm builds less irrelevant software and deploys successful solutions faster throughout the entire company. Software and AI are scaling layers for real HR work – not an end in themselves.

  • Problem-to-Solution Ownership: You analyze operational problems, identify the biggest product levers, and accompany solutions from prototype through specification to productive deployment and success measurement.

  • Hands-on Prototyping & Delivery: You test functional prototypes with real users and hand over requirements as small, technically robust, and measurable product chunks to Engineering.

  • AI- & Tool-Enablement: You work daily with LLMs, AI workflows, and low-code tools, automate recurring processes, and make solutions transferable to new markets and acquired companies.

You want more than just a "job"; you want to shape, grow, and develop yourself perspectively. Perhaps even towards Product Lead? Let's talk.

The Future of Work:

ucm is building the backbone of the student workforce of the future. Our mission: Better jobs for students. We combine human potential with AI-driven efficiency and place thousands of talents in jobs with real impact.

We are an AI-First Company. We don't just use AI; we are rebuilding our entire core on it. Away from manual control. Towards systems that function and scale independently.

This also means: Things change rapidly. Processes are rethought. Decisions are made faster. You must be willing to adapt, rethink, and take responsibility, even when not everything is dictated.

Our setup is clear: Field stands for implementation and performance on-site. Foundry for building technology, systems, and growth. Frame for structure, control, and scalability. You are not joining a finished system. You are building it and are responsible for making it work.

Your Responsibilities:

Product Discovery & Analysis

  • Analysis of the most important customer, candidate, and operations processes, including their system and data flows.

  • Identification and prioritization of the biggest product levers with baseline, target, and clear decision path.

  • Funnel analyses and product analytics as a basis for decisions.

Prototyping & Implementation

  • Development of functional prototypes and tests with real users – from matching and self-service to campaign management and operations.

  • Translation of validated ideas into Short PRDs, acceptance criteria, and measurable product chunks for Engineering.

  • Responsibility for QA and success measurement – from the identified problem to a validated pilot within a few weeks.

Automation & Scaling

  • Translation of recurring manual processes into reusable processes, automations, and technical components.

  • Practical use of LLMs, AI workflows, low-code tools, and simple scripts.

  • Building solutions that can be transferred to new markets and acquired companies without having to be rebuilt each time.

What You Bring:

  • Several years of experience in Technical Product Management, Product Operations, Solution Design, or a comparable hands-on product role.

  • Proficiency in process analysis, product discovery, prototyping, short PRDs, acceptance criteria, QA, and success measurement.

  • Technical understanding of APIs, data models, integrations, system logic, and architectural trade-offs.

  • Data literacy in product analytics, funnel analyses, and basic SQL queries.

  • Practical experience with LLMs, AI workflows, low-code tools, and simple scripts for prototypes and automations.

  • Experience with CRM and automation systems such as HubSpot or comparable platforms.

  • Fluent German (C1/C2) and English (C1) – written and spoken.

Why ucm:

  • Exposure at Eye Level: You work directly with management and product leadership and see the impact of your solutions immediately in operational business.

  • Career with Perspective: Sparring at C-level, rapid impact, and a clear development path towards Product Lead.

  • Competitive Package: 50k–65k€ fixed salary.

  • High-output, low-ego Culture: We are ambitious, focused, and promote performance.
