Technical Product Lead Locaboo (m/f/d)

With Locaboo, we develop software for operating municipal sports and cultural facilities - making them easy to book, manage, and bill online.

Responsibilities

Your Role

As Technical Product Lead, you will take technical responsibility for Locaboo. You will develop yourself, make technology decisions within the product, and manage the development team that built Locaboo. You will work closely with the Locaboo development team and the Account Management Team, and report to management.

Your Responsibility

• The Locaboo application consists of a PHP part and a NestJS/React part. You will take responsibility for both parts and develop them into a coherent platform.

• Technical roadmap for the coming years

• Stability, security, and maintainability of a system used by several hundred municipalities

• Interfaces to municipal IT, i.e., financial systems, access control systems, lighting control, document management. You will further develop them, keep them stable, and evaluate which new integrations are sensible

• Further development of the MCP server, via which Locaboo functions can be made usable for AI assistants

• Management of the external development team: prioritization, code reviews, acceptance, technical standards

• Translating customer requirements from Account Management into solutions and realistically assessing effort and feasibility

• Technical support for customer projects, potentially with direct customer contact, for example data migrations, integrations, or special configurations, and solving problems that first-level support cannot resolve

Requirements

What you bring

• Several years of experience in developing web applications, a significant portion of which in PHP and JavaScript

• You have built and operated interfaces to third-party systems, REST, SOAP, file exchange, preferably also hardware

• You have integrated LLMs into existing software and know how to build and deploy an MCP server. Ideally, you have already done it yourself

• You have experience in operating and further developing mature systems

• You can justify technical decisions, even to people who cannot read code

• You can deal with customers, understand requirements, manage expectations, explain problems

• German at a proficient level, English good enough for daily work with the external team
