Technical Outsource Manager (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Technical Outsource Manager (m/f/d) in Berlin as soon as possible.

Our team offers a unique opportunity for a Technical Outsourcing Manager (m/f/d) who will act as an intermediary between our high-tech client and the remote teams in Bulgaria. As a Technical Outsourcing Manager, you will create, maintain, and expand business relationships by building and managing long-term relationships with our clients. You will act as a link between the client and the team in Bulgaria, supporting them with your technical knowledge and extensive experience. As a trusted partner, you will manage new leads and develop them into nearshoring projects; discuss engineering requests and contribute insights from various client departments.

You will visit the client regularly. You are responsible for client relationships and the main point of contact for our clients on the relevant projects in a complex, demanding, and frequently changing environment. You have an eye for identifying, addressing, and managing deviations in quality, delivery time, and budget. To create awareness of client needs, you will bring these 'signals' and client feedback to the team. You ensure bidirectional communication and manage escalations from the team in Sofia to the client. Your experience brings responsibility and accountability to the projects, ensuring that our solutions are sustainably and comprehensively embedded in our clients' organizations.

Additional Responsibility:

• Communication with clients at multiple levels; with technical specialists, project managers, line managers, and assigned personnel involved in the projects
• Participation in on-site meetings with the client
• Coordination of requirements (functional and technical), project planning, tracking, and reporting
• Technical consulting in your area of expertise
• Acting as a (technical) interface between the client and the remote development teams
• Contribution to the creation and alignment of the (long-term) outsourcing product roadmap/vision with relevant stakeholders
• Closing gaps created by nearshoring and developing structural solutions
• Creation of budgets for engineering proposals
• Initiation of follow-up project sales and management of additional budgets
• Identification of new leads in your area of responsibility
• Development of your knowledge to become a fully engaged and respected team member

Skills:
Conceptual thinking and the ability to analyze impacts, create (high-level) designs, prepare and break down the work of planned functionalities
Regular alignment with the client on priorities, scope, and dependencies (between software teams)

Skills and Experience:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Strong communication skills across functions and teams, both up and down the chain of command
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a software development environment (e.g., as a software architect and/or software engineer)
• In-depth experience in software design and writing
• Experience in leading SCRUM-based projects
• Experience with SAFe is a plus
• Experience with outsourcing is a plus
• Experience in a high-tech embedded environment is a plus
• Quick learner to work at eye level with the client and the technical team
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to proactively handle conflicts and escalation methods
• Language proficiency: German C1, English B2
