Technical Manager/Line Maintenance Manager

Our client is looking for a dedicated Technical Manager / Line Maintenance Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in managing production line equipment, and a proactive approach to ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. This role is crucial to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency while managing a team of maintenance professionals. Responsibilities: Plan, implement, and manage the maintenance activities for all production lines; Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and repaired in accordance with established procedures and schedules; Coordinate and supervise the work of maintenance personnel; Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration; Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems; Provide technical guidance and support to team members; Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment availability, mean time between failures (MTBF), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE); Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs; Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards; Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering; At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management or a related field; Strong understanding of production line equipment and processes; Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
