Aufgaben

WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE WITH US

• Define the roadmap and long-term strategy for the technical team and the extended CBRE team regarding technical orientation and standards.
• Foster and develop the technical level and competence of technical staff in the entire region; ensure that knowledge is shared, technical best practices are applied, and consistency is ensured across all data centers.
• Support the business development process and project teams by contributing to RFI, RFP, solution proposals, and presentations.
• Monitor the development and implementation of all procedures, CE documentation, and operational guidelines.
• Navigate with other Technical Managers within DCS, exchange best practices, and transfer these to the region.
• Collaborate with preferred suppliers to identify innovative solutions and implement them in customer locations.
• Review RCA reports and release the final report to the CBRE leadership level or the customer.
• Deduce experience and learning effects from all incidents, investigations, or RCA reports and share these internally and within the extended DCS environment.
• Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement throughout the team; identify and implement design improvements together with the Operations Manager of the customer and the CBRE Technical Director.
• Review, contribute to, and monitor all technical training requirements provided by CBRE, including but not limited to Authorized Person and Senior AP certifications.
• Serve as an escalation role for significant events or multidisciplinary technical incidents at locations around the clock; participate in the creation of the Incident Report.
• Review and develop operational procedures and exercises within the data centers.
• Audit the efficiency and performance of the CE team; develop efficiency improvements and innovations to benefit the customer and CBRE.
• E nsure that basic training needs are met, employees are fully competent in their roles, and they can fully exploit their potential.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Management Team.

Qualifikation

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant field, preferably in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or building technology.
• In-depth knowledge of data center facilities such as generators, chillers, cooling towers, air treatment units, UPS systems, liquid cooling, electrical sub-distribution systems, fire detection and suppression systems, and cable distribution systems.
• Technical knowledge and/or experience in the field of electrical and mechanical infrastructure in a data center environment.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams to develop systems, solutions, and products; organizational, coordination, and multitasking skills.
• Analytical skills and experience in solving problems in large-scale systems.
• Readiness to travel occasionally to support operational operations and attend training sessions or business reviews. Some overnight stays may be necessary.
• Readiness to take on flexible working hours as needed to meet business requirements.
