Maintenance Technician

Job description:

Located at our Avery Dennison Smartrac Querétaro and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the candidate will have excellent professional development, as part of a new team, in a growing industry. The objective of the Installations and Maintenance team is, through modern maintenance systems, to maintain the 'business as usual' for plant operations and continuously improve the availability/reliability of equipment to manufacture quality products in a safe and profitable manner. This team will also be responsible for planning and executing CAPEX, including an ambitious Master Plan for capacity increase.

• Maintain knowledge and good understanding of the plant/equipment and its conditions.
• Responsible for continuous maintenance and problem resolution, based on work orders.
• Develop and implement improvements to minimize downtime for line change and cleaning.
• Support the installation and commissioning of machinery/equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical diagrams.
• Executes maintenance procedures, preventive and predictive, for productive equipment in assigned area.
• Supports productive areas in case of downtime and establishes corrective and preventive actions to avoid them.
• Maintains an updated backup system supported by IT and equipment platform assigned.
• Works with a focus on continuous improvement to increase up-time and yields of all productive equipment.
• Responsible for reporting daily actions, scaling downtime greater than 30 minutes, and any urgency.
• According to assigned work area, responsible for its cleaning, maintenance, and learning together with supervisor.
