Everyone talks about "mental health". But most people feel quite lost when they're looking for help for psychological issues. Even for healthcare professionals, it's not easy to keep track of all the contact points and refer clients to suitable offers.

mimaps has set itself the goal of bundling qualified contact points for mental health across Germany on a user-friendly platform and networking them with each other. We're looking for a new team member for backend development, database architecture, and technical infrastructure.

Aufgaben

Your Tasks

• Backend-Services in Go: REST-APIs, Database Migrations, Testing
• Database Architecture with PostgreSQL/PostGIS for location-based queries
• Authentication, Session Management, and Security Architecture
• NLP-based Search and RAG Pipeline with Vector Database
• Cloud Deployment and Infrastructure on a GDPR-compliant EU-based Cloud Provider
• REST Interfaces to external systems
• API Design and Integration

Qualifikation

What you bring

• Studies in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of Go/Golang or strong backend experience in another language with a willingness to learn Go
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, Containerization, and Deployment
• Knowledge of TypeScript and Frontend Development (React or similar; we use SolidJS)
• Good to very good English skills

Benefits

Stipendium & Framework Conditions

• Duration: 12 months from Summer 2026, with a prospect of a follow-up contract
• Monthly Allowance:
• University Graduates: €2,500
• Ph.D. Holders: €3,000
• Child Allowance: €150 per child
• Note: The stipend is taxable and not an employment contract. During the funding period, you must take out your own health, pension, and unemployment insurance.
• Hybrid: 2 to 5 days per week on-site in the Startup Villa Berlin-Dahlem, Home Office possible

Requirements

• University Degree within the next 5 years or not more than 5 years ago
• No active employment contract or parallel stipend
• No more than 20 hours of remunerative side work per month
• No previous EXIST Founders' Stipend
