Job description
Role Summary To contribute to the growing utilities infrastructure design team delivering water sector assets including pumping stations, networks (gravity and pumped), storage reservoirs, and treatment works (potable water and/or wastewater) for various UK projects including residential, industrial, commercial, transport, water, retail, health and education projects. Responsibilities Work as part of WSP’s GCC UK Water team in Bengaluru. Lead design management for mid-scale and complex projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and effective communication with clients and stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, leveraging expertise in civil engineering, water treatment, and infrastructure design. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, while managing risks and identifying opportunities for improvement. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices within the team. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies to ensure WSP’s GCC UK Water team remains at the forefront of water sector innovation. Key Responsibilities: • Lead design management for mid-scale and complex projects; • Ensure timely delivery, quality control, and effective communication with clients and stakeholders; • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions; • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets; • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers; • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; • Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering, water treatment, and infrastructure design; • Strong understanding of UK water sector regulations and standards; • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills; • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
