Position Overview Space Industries S.p.A., a leading aerospace company specializing in the assembly, integration, and testing of small satellites , is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Facility Manager to oversee and manage its state-of-the-art facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the facility, including its infrastructure, equipment, and related systems. Key Responsibilities Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, including maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Develop and implement facility management procedures and protocols to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Manage and maintain the facility's infrastructure, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing. Coordinate and supervise external contractors for maintenance and repair work. Equipment Management: Manage and maintain a wide range of equipment used in the assembly, integration, and testing of small satellites. Ensure equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated according to manufacturer specifications. Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules and procedures. Oversee equipment inventory and procurement. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the facility complies with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards. Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits. Environmental Management: Ensure the facility meets environmental regulations and sustainability goals. Manage waste disposal and recycling programs. Implement energy-saving measures and initiatives. Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of technicians and maintenance personnel. Provide training and development opportunities for team members. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Budget Management: Develop and manage the facility's budget. Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective operations. Procurement: Manage the procurement of necessary supplies, equipment, and services. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in the aerospace or high-tech industry. Strong technical knowledge of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Experience with equipment maintenance and calibration. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
