Technical E-Commerce Specialist / Shopify (m/w/d)

We are looking for an E-Commerce Operations Specialist / Shopify who will relieve our Shop Manager in their operational daily business, reliably implement shop tasks, and ensure that our online shop remains clean, up-to-date, and performant. Your goal: fast implementation, high quality, and a shop that functions professionally for our customers at all times.

Work model: Full-time on-site in Münster, because close coordination with Shop Management, Marketing, Content, Design, and Performance Team during campaigns, launches, and shop adjustments simply works better live.

Tasks

• Shop maintenance & technical implementation in Shopify backend: You set up products, maintain content, update collections, build pages and landing pages, maintain meta fields, and support simple theme adaptations.
• Content management in online shop: You maintain product texts, images, translations, page contents, and campaign contents in the shop and ensure that all contents are up-to-date, correct, and sales-promoting.
• Landing pages, campaign, and action implementations: You prepare sale pages, product launches, bundles, action logic, and campaign landing pages in the shop and bring them live.
• Quality assurance & testing in shop: You test pages, product representations, mobile views, translations, functions, discount logics, verlinks, and user flows, document errors, and hold their resolution until they are internal or with external partners.
• Error handling & process maintenance: You recognize problems in the live shop, document them neatly, prioritize them according to impact, and hold until they are resolved internally or with external partners.
• Data maintenance & operational e-commerce support: You support existing shop themes, simple evaluations, product data maintenance, and ongoing e-commerce projects.
• SEO basics & on-page maintenance: You maintain meta titles and descriptions, support internal linking, content structures, URL logic, and the clean implementation of on-page measures.
• CRO tests & optimization projects: You support the implementation of tests, maintain variants in the shop, and help structure optimization ideas.
• Launches, internationalization, & migrations: You work project-based on new features, shop adjustments, translation projects, internationalization, and larger campaigns with.
• Team coordination: You coordinate with Marketing, Content, Design, Performance, CRM, and occasionally external developers or freelancers to ensure that shop themes are implemented smoothly.

Qualification

• Professional experience: You have ideally first-hand practical experience in e-commerce, online retail, digital marketing, content management, or a comparable role.
• Shopify experience: You have already worked with Shopify or a similar shop system and feel comfortable handling backend structures, product maintenance, page building, and shop contents.
• Structured work approach: You work neatly, reliably, and detail-oriented. You close tasks properly and maintain an overview even when dealing with many small tasks.
• Tech understanding: You don't have to be a developer, but you're not afraid of technical topics, digital tools, shop systems, meta fields, apps, or simple theme adaptations.
• SEO understanding: You know the basics of e-commerce SEO, such as meta data, category structures, internal linking, URL logic, and content maintenance.
• Quality awareness: You understand that errors in prices, links, variants, discount logics, or live pages have direct impacts on revenue and customer experience.
• Eigenorganization: You can prioritize tasks, maintain them neatly, and implement them independently without needing approvals for every small task.
• Implementation strength: You think pragmatically, solution-oriented, and bring things reliably to the goal, rather than getting lost in theory.
• Communication: You coordinate clearly with other teams, ask when something is unclear, and document tasks so that all parties understand the status.
• Mindset & process understanding: You don't just implement tasks, but recognize recurring patterns, bring your own optimization ideas, and help make shop processes more reliable.
• Nice to have: Experience with Shopify themes, Liquid, HTML/CSS, app setups, GA4, ABLyft, Canva, Photoshop, Figma, Miro, Asana, international shops, translations, localization, or performance marketing is a plus.
