Technical Consultant for d.velop Document Management (m/f/d)

Are you looking for a position as a Technical Consultant, DMS Consultant, or ECM Consultant in Rostock where you not only advise on digitalization but also technically implement it yourself? At GECKO, you will accompany universities, public institutions, and other organizations in the introduction, further development, and operation of d.velop document management solutions. You understand functional requirements and realize them directly in the application – from configuration, databases, and workflows to interfaces and IT infrastructure.

Tasks

From the initial requirement to ongoing operation, you will support our solutions holistically. You will work closely with our customers and ensure that their requirements are transformed into practical, stable, and understandable digital processes.

• You will guide customers in the introduction, configuration, and further development of d.velop DMS solutions
• You will analyze administrative and document processes and develop suitable digital workflows together with customers
• You will configure document types, properties, permissions, storage structures, workflows, and other system components
• You will analyze technical errors using logs, database contents, and system messages
• You will work with relational databases for data analysis, error diagnosis, and the implementation of individual requirements
• You will develop custom adaptations using JavaScript, Groovy, or comparable technologies and configure interfaces to third-party systems
• You will support testing, quality assurance, and the commissioning of new functions and processes
• You will document configurations, processes, and project results, train users, and advise customers both functionally and technically

With us, you will combine process consulting with technical implementation: you will understand functional requirements and processes, configure the application, and solve technical problems. For this, you will work with data, workflows, interfaces, services, and logs. You will discuss processes with our customers and then implement the appropriate solutions yourself – for example, through configurations, SQL queries, or workflow adjustments.

Qualifications

A degree or apprenticeship in computer science, business informatics, or administrative informatics – or a comparable technical qualification – is a good foundation. More importantly, we want you to grasp technical interrelationships quickly and solve complex problems in a structured manner.

• You have a strong technical understanding and enjoy delving deep into complex software applications
• You analyze requirements in a structured way and recognize the connections between processes, software, data, and infrastructure
• You possess practical knowledge of relational databases and work independently with SQL
• You have experience with JavaScript, Groovy, or comparable technologies and implement smaller adaptations independently
• You know the basics of Windows Server systems, Windows Services, and log files
• You analyze technical problems independently instead of exclusively passing them on to other teams
• You gather customer requirements and explain technical matters in an understandable way
• You work analytically, independently, and solution-oriented and have very good German language skills

Initial knowledge in one or more of these areas is a plus:

• Document management or Enterprise Content Management systems, ideally d.velop documents
• Digital file and administrative processes as well as workflow configuration
• REST APIs, interfaces, authentication, and authorization concepts
• Data migration as well as operation and monitoring of complex business applications

We will impart specific knowledge about d.velop to you during the onboarding process. You will bring the fundamental technical understanding with you.
