Tech Recruiter and People Manager (m/w/d) - Defense AI

We are developing KI-based software for security- and defense-relevant applications. Our systems combine simulation, data analysis, tactical KI, sensors, and modern software development. Therefore, we are looking for someone who understands which people we need and how to find, win, and retain them.

As our Tech Recruiter and People Manager, you will be responsible for building and developing our recruiting- and people-operations department. Your focus will lie on tech recruiting for challenging profiles in the fields of KI, Data, Software Engineering, Simulation, Cloud/On-Prem infrastructure, and Defense Tech. You understand what a good Machine-Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, C++/Unreal Developer, DevOps Engineer, or Solution Architect can professionally accomplish and can realistically assess corresponding candidates.

A significant part of your task is to build our recruiting process measurable, scalable, and largely automated: from job posting to candidate screening, structured interviews, talent pools, scorecards, reporting, and process automation up to candidate communication.

Aufgaben

• You develop and steer our entire recruiting process for predominantly technical roles, including the identification and active approach of suitable candidates, especially senior profiles in KI, Data, Software Engineering, Simulation, and Defense Tech.
• You work closely with management, CTO, and departments to create precise job requirements and job postings.
• You build structured screening- and interview processes, manage talent pools, and ensure that good candidates are systematically maintained and re-contacted.
• You automate recurring steps along the entire recruiting workflow. You work with recruiting tools, job portals, automation tools, and possibly KI-based screening- and matching approaches.
• You ensure a professional candidate experience: clarity, speed, and connection are more important than HR clichés.
• You support the setup of fundamental people processes, such as onboarding, contract processes, role profiles, goal agreements, development conversations, and retention measures.
• You pay attention to ensuring that recruiting and people operations fit a security-critical, technology-driven company - including availability, work permit, location, reliability, and possible clearance requirements.

Qualifikation

• Multiple years of experience in tech recruiting, ideally in a software-, KI-, Data-, Cyber-, Defence-Tech- or Deep-Tech environment
• Good understanding of technical roles in KI, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Software development, DevOps, Simulation, Embedded/Edge, or System Architecture
• Experience with senior and specialized staff recruiting
• Process strength with the claim to run recruiting data-based and structured
• Experience with ATS systems, job portals, LinkedIn/Xing recruiting, Active Sourcing
• Experience with automation tools like Power Automate, Zapier, Make, scripts, or KI-based workflows
• Clear and connected communication both internally and to candidates
• Good understanding of a security- and defense-related environment with special requirements for reliability, discretion, loyalty, availability, and legal frameworks
