DOCMAiTE gives doctors' practices back time. Our local AI takes practice teams away from daily document and data work - so that more time is available for patients and treatment information is available exactly when it's needed. The company was founded in 2024, emerged from the research of the University of Göttingen, and is valued by customers to the extent that some have even become investors.

You take technical responsibility in a growing, ambitious team and shape how product vision, engineering excellence, and technical implementation come together. As a central actor at the interface between architecture, requirements, and software development, you ensure that new features are not only built but also correctly conceived, structured developed, and reliably brought into production.

You get a lot of design freedom, work closely to the product for healthcare, and have direct influence on how we build our technical development, delivery, and processes with DOCMAiTE's growth.

Aufgaben

You plan, build, deliver, and ensure that the team moves forward in a structured and reliable manner. You don't just focus on implementation, but are right in the middle: you write code, solve technical problems, and make technical realities visible for all parties involved.

• Features and technical changes develop and accompany from conception to deployment (mainly in Python/Django, including integration and further development of local AI models)
• Capacities, tempo, and bottlenecks take from your own experience in the team and let them flow into planning and prioritization
• Release-, deployment- and operation workflows (Azure DevOps CI, Git, Docker, PostgreSQL) actively shape and stabilize, as well as QA- and automation topics drive forward
• Hybrid cloud architecture shape: gradually move parts of the product from local to cloud and design the interaction between local AI and cloud components cleanly
• Partner and deployment portal conceptualize and build, as a central tool for rollouts, updates, and partner access
• Recognize progress, risks, and dependencies early on, make them transparent, and incorporate them into steering

Qualifikation

Qualification:

• You bring several years of experience in software development with you and know the product business, ideally from a SaaS or similar product environment
• You have fundamental practice in our stack: Python and Django, PostgreSQL, Docker; frontend work with JS and Bootstrap is familiar to you
• You have touchpoints with AI development — e.g., integration of LLMs, working with locally running models, ML pipelines or similar experience
• You can realistically assess technical implementation realities and derive clear planning bases from them
• You bring a good understanding of release-, deployment- and operation workflows with you
• You communicate implementation status, risks, and next steps clearly to product and operations

Benefits

Payout: 65,000–75,000 € gross per year (at 40 hours), depending on experience; with clear perspective on salary development after the first six months; plus variable participation in company success.

Flexibility: 32-40 hours per week possible, also as a 4-day week. We work closely together in the team and are typically present for 3-4 days per week.

Holiday: 30 days (at 5-day week).

Tech: Freely selectable technical equipment, with which you can work efficiently, as well as clear co-decision on the toolchain.
