The Team Leadership Fiber Optic Network Planning is responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of the Network Planning team. The position reports to the Department Head or Technical Manager and works closely with Project Management, Construction Management, Documentation, Municipalities, Engineering Offices, and other internal and external project participants.

Job Objective

You will take over the responsibility for the economic, quality-oriented, and timely planning of fiber optic network projects. You will ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and funding requirements and make a significant contribution to the successful expansion of modern FTTH infrastructure.

Tasks

• Fachliche und disziplinarische Führung des Teams Netzplanung
• Steuerung, Priorisierung und Weiterentwicklung der Teamressourcen
• Verantwortung für die Planung und Optimierung geförderter FTTH-Netze
• Prüfung und Freigabe von Vor-, Entwurfs- und Ausführungsplanungen
• Koordination von Trassen-, Netz- und Kapazitätsplanungen
• Steuerung externer Ingenieurbüros und Planungsdienstleister
• Abstimmung mit Kommunen, Netzbetreibern, Versorgungsunternehmen und Behörden
• Sicherstellung von Qualität, Terminen und Wirtschaftlichkeit der Netzplanung
• Weiterentwicklung von Planungsstandards, Prozessen und Qualitätsrichtlinien
• Mitwirkung bei Ausschreibungen und Vergabeverfahren

Qualification

You bring with you

• Completed studies in the field of Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, Geoinformatics, Surveying or a comparable field
• Alternatively, technical training with corresponding further education and work experience in fiber optic network planning
• Multiple years of professional experience in planning telecommunications or fiber optic networks
• Experience in leading employees or managing complex projects
• Knowledge of the promoted broadband and fiber optic network expansion
• Safe handling of GIS systems, planning software, and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines, and HOAI and VOB
• Secure German language skills in writing and speaking
