Financial Accounting & Team Leadership

Taxforce is building a modern, AI-powered tax firm. We combine classic tax quality with digital processes and are deliberately building our firm without established old structures.

For our team, we are looking for an experienced financial accountant who will take responsibility for a team and its clients. You will ensure that accounting and financial statements are prepared cleanly, on time, and with high quality for our clients, and you will develop your team professionally.

Your Responsibilities

• Professional and disciplinary leadership of a team of financial and accounting clerks

• Responsibility for the timely and qualitatively flawless processing of your team's client mandates

• Independent preparation of annual financial statements for corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships that prepare financial statements, in close cooperation with the tax advisor

• Review and quality assurance of ongoing financial accounting, monthly financial statements, and VAT pre-declarations

• Management of your own, including more complex, client mandates and acting as the point of contact for clients on accounting and financial statement-related questions

• Onboarding, training, and professional development of your colleagues

• Planning and management of capacities, deadlines, and closing dates within the team

• Co-design and further development of our digital and AI-powered accounting processes

The focus of the role is on a team that handles accounting and financial statements cleanly, on time, and independently. You will create clear processes, ensure professional quality, and be the first point of contact for your team and the tax advisors.

We work with digital and AI-powered systems that handle routine tasks. This leaves you time for financial statements, quality assurance, and the development of your team.

What You Bring

• Completed training as a tax assistant and further training as a certified accountant (IHK) or tax specialist

• Several years of in-depth professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in a firm environment

• Proficiency in the independent preparation of annual financial statements according to HGB (German Commercial Code)

• Initial leadership experience or experience in the professional guidance of colleagues

• Confident use of DATEV and sound knowledge of account frameworks SKR03 and SKR04

• Experience in independent client management

• Structured, meticulous, and calm way of working, even with a high volume of client mandates and tight deadlines

• Proactive communication: You address uncertainties early, provide clear feedback, and make decisions

• Openness to digital solutions and a desire to help shape processes
