For our client, an established and successful engineering company with several locations in Northern Germany, we are looking for an experienced

Team Lead Structural Engineering (m/f/d)

with several years of professional experience in structural engineering, to start as soon as possible as part of the new opening of the Hamburg location.

Your New Challenge

Do you want to not only work on demanding projects but also actively build something and take responsibility?

Then this position offers you a special opportunity: You will be part of the new opening of the Hamburg location and will have the opportunity to help shape the structural engineering department from the very beginning.

Together with the existing company and the other locations in Northern Germany, you will develop the new location and build a high-performing planning team.

Responsibilities

• Establishment and technical leadership of the structural engineering department at the Hamburg location
• Leadership, development, and coordination of the team
• Independent handling of demanding structural engineering projects
• Development of economical and technically demanding structural concepts
• Coordination and consultation with architects, clients, and other specialist planners
• Ensuring high-quality and on-time planning
• Further development of structures and processes at the new location
• Close cooperation with the existing branches in Northern Germany

Qualifications

• Completed degree in civil engineering, ideally with a focus on structural engineering/structural design
• Several years of professional experience in structural engineering
• Sound knowledge of statics and construction
• Experience in independently handling demanding projects
• Ideally, initial leadership experience or the willingness to take on leadership responsibility
• Entrepreneurial thinking and independent way of working
• Strong communication skills, sense of responsibility, and team spirit
• Enjoyment in building new structures and actively driving things forward
