In your role as Team Leader Mechanical Maintenance (m/w/d), you will take on the technical responsibility for mechanical maintenance at senior level, ensure plant availability, work operationally close to the shop floor, use key figures and maintenance software to control processes and support leadership, organization, and continuous optimization.

Your tasks

• Technical responsibility and coordination of all mechanical maintenance processes at senior level - with a clear focus on availability, quality, and efficiency

• Surety of plant availability for central production facilities (e.g. grinding machines, spinning presses, hardening ovens) directly at the shop floor

• Independent execution of complex repairs, analysis of disturbances, and structured methodical error search - pronounced hands-on approach explicitly desired

• Active presence on the shop floor as a technical contact person, problem solver, and sparring partner for production and maintenance

• Control of external service providers, coordination of assignments, and responsibility for spare part and procurement management

• Work with maintenance software (e.g. TOM): data maintenance, feedback, derivation of key figures (KPIs) such as plant availability

• Evaluation of offers, technical decision-making, and participation in investment and improvement projects

• Implementation and further development of quality and maintenance standards, continuous optimization of mechanical processes

• Support for team leadership, knowledge transfer, and training

• Deputyship of the Head of Maintenance in absence

Your qualifications

• Degree in technical field or master's degree in mechanical engineering or comparable

• Long-term, comprehensive professional experience in mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment - ideally precision or cutting tool manufacturing

• Very good knowledge of grinding machines, spinning presses, hardening ovens, and drive technology, pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding techniques

• Proven experience in assembly work (motors, sensors, protective devices) and systematic error search at expert level

• High software affinity and safe handling of maintenance software, technical key figures, and documentation systems

• Experience in dealing with external service providers, spare part management, and procurement processes

• Pronounced hands-on mentality, combined with seniority, decision-making strength, organizational ability, and sense of responsibility

• High operational proximity to equipment and employees with active role in the daily business of maintenance
