Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the performance of a cluster of inspection stations in the Frankfurt/Hesse region (revenue, quality, team, customer satisfaction).

Your Tasks

• Leadership of your inspection engineer team: You will lead, develop, and engage the inspection engineers and inspection engineers in training (PIF), as well as inspection assistants of your hub, both professionally and disciplinarily. Keeping your people and advancing them is your most important mission.
• Recruiting & Onboarding: You will regularly conduct interviews and trial days, decide on hiring, and quickly bring new colleagues to independence. PIFs work independently after approximately two months.
• Entrepreneurial Management: You will be responsible for the revenue, utilization, and quality of all inspection stations in your hub, based on real-time data rather than guesswork.
• Setting up new locations: You will launch new inspection stations. This includes timely operational readiness, KÜS connection, and full staffing with inspection engineers and assistants by the opening date.
• Ramp-up to target utilization: After opening, you will guide the location month after month towards its revenue goals, from the first weeks to stable operation.
• Own inspection activities: You will remain involved in the operational business with main and emissions inspections according to §29 StVZO, modification approvals according to §19 StVZO, and classic car reports according to §23 StVZO. The proportion depends on the size and phase of your hub.
• Team climate: You will ensure that colleagues enjoy working with you. We measure this regularly through the eNPS of your hub.
• Quality & Compliance: You will ensure consistent inspection quality across all locations and compliance with all requirements of our monitoring organization.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Completed further training as an automotive inspection engineer (e.g., via KÜS, TÜV, GTÜ, DEKRA). A transfer from other monitoring organizations is also possible.
• Leadership: Initial experience in leading teams or as a deputy head of an inspection station. Alternatively, a clear ambition to take this step now.
• Mobility: Driving license classes A, B, and CE, as well as the willingness to travel regularly between the inspection stations in your hub.
• Expertise: At least 4 years of experience as an inspection engineer.
• Well-groomed appearance and good German language skills (C2).
