For our client, an established construction company in the field of turnkey building construction with demanding projects exclusively in the Berlin area and modern, digitally driven planning and construction processes, we are looking for a Team Leader Cost Estimation (m/f/d) in exclusive assignment for the earliest possible start date. Your Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Professional and disciplinary leadership of the cost estimation team as well as organization of daily operational business

• Employee Development: Support for the professional development of employees and implementation of individual development measures in close coordination with the Head of Bid Management

• Resource Management: Project-related assignment of cost estimators as well as prioritization and management of ongoing cost estimation tasks

• Cost Estimation Management: Coordination and quality assurance of cost estimations for demanding turnkey building construction projects within the overarching bid process

• Quality & Plausibility Checks: Evaluation of essential cost estimation approaches, quantities, cost benchmarks, and assumptions

• Pricing Committees: Preparation of cost estimators and their projects for internal pricing committees as well as preparation of opportunities, risks, and essential cost estimation assumptions

• Risks & Opportunities: Ensuring structured identification and evaluation of technical and economic project risks and opportunities

• Interface Management: Close cooperation with the Head of Bid Management as well as with Tendering/Award, Procurement, Construction Preparation, Project Management, and Management

• BIM & Digitalization: Further development of collaboration between BIM modeling and cost estimation as well as gradual improvement of model-based cost estimation processes

• Process Development: Further development and standardization of cost estimation methods, benchmarks, templates, and digital workflows, especially in RIB iTWO

• Negotiations: Professional support in bidder discussions and contract negotiations

Your Profile

• Professional Qualification: Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable technical qualification, such as a Construction Technician

• Work Experience: Several years of in-depth experience in the cost estimation of demanding building construction projects, ideally in turnkey building construction from the perspective of a general contractor or general supplier

• Leadership Experience: Experience in professional and/or disciplinary leadership as well as enjoyment in guiding employees in their daily operations, delegating responsibility, and accompanying their development together with the senior management

• Cost Estimation Competence: Sound understanding of quantities, services, cost structures, subcontractor services, as well as technical and economic project risks

• Digital Competence: Very good knowledge of modern cost estimation processes. Experience with RIB iTWO and model-based cost estimation / BIM is an advantage

• Entrepreneurial Thinking: Strong economic understanding, analytical strength, and the ability to reduce complex issues to the decisive levers

• Personality: Clear, binding leadership style, decisiveness, and confident communication with employees, project teams, business partners, and management
