Team Lead Vehicle Appraisal - Greater Hamburg Area (m/f/d)

You don't want a desk job as a leader. You want a team you know in the field, and vehicles you've physically handled yourself. As the Team Lead Vehicle Appraisal for Northern Germany, you will lead the appraisers in your region, spot-check their reports, and be on-site with the vehicles on the days that matter.

Location: Hamburg – You will work independently in your region in field service and be responsible for Northern Germany.

Your Responsibilities

Team and Quality

• You will lead the vehicle appraisers in your region and be their first point of contact for vehicle intake, customer contact, and process questions
• You will ensure and further develop our quality standards
• You will spot-check reports and appraisals, analyze complaints, and derive concrete measures from them
• You will manage your team through KPIs, draw conclusions from them, and make them visible to management

Team Development

• You will conduct regular 1:1 meetings for open discussion and joint refinement
• You will be responsible for onboarding new team members and passing on your expertise

On-site Appraisal

• You will regularly be present at vehicle intake yourself and work with our appraisal technology
• You will be the face of CarOnSale at the dealership: confident demeanor, peer-level conversations, professional impression

What You Bring

• Completed technical training in the automotive sector, for example as a master auto mechanic, automotive mechatronics technician, vehicle painter, or body and vehicle construction mechanic
• At least one year of experience in leading a team, combined with the willingness to roll up your sleeves yourself
• Experience with vehicle appraisals, expert reports, or condition checks, and an eye for detail
• Proficient in handling KPIs: you recognize patterns, draw conclusions, and present them clearly
• Confident, professional demeanor in customer contact and entrepreneurial thinking
• German at C2 level
• Class B driver's license
• AI-affine work style: you actively use digital tools to improve your work and that of your team
