Team Leader Dispatch (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Team Leader Dispatch (m/f/d) for the rail logistics department in full-time, starting immediately. This position is based at the Dormagen location.

Your key responsibilities:

• Monitoring the on-time, day-to-day dispatch for the Central Dispatch for the Leverkusen, Dormagen, Uerdingen locations, as well as route traffics

• Taking action in case of plan deviations (e.g., "Trouble Shooting") in daily operations, considering operational, economic, and contractual factors

• Creation of guidelines and action aids for dispatch, especially for standard services and deviations

• Personnel deployment planning for the Central Dispatch

• Vacation planning for the Central Dispatch

• Responsibility for KPIs regarding service reliability of loading points and remaining wagons

• Responsibility for the training and onboarding of new and existing employees

• Coordination with dispatchers for track bookings

• Involvement in projects for the further digitalization of rail logistics

• Responsibility for compliance with dangerous goods regulations

• Coordination of measures in case of accidents and extraordinary events

• Responsibility and leadership of dispatchers

• Close cooperation and coordination with team leaders at other locations

• Completed apprenticeship as a Forwarding and Logistics Clerk (m/f/d) or equivalent

• Professional experience in rail freight dispatch desirable

• Leadership experience

• Knowledge of the Working Hours Act

• Knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., Directive 408 - Train Operating Manual)

• Basic English language skills

• Good ZEDAS knowledge

• IT skills (SAP, MS-Office)

• Driver's license class B desirable
