Team Leader Accounting (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

Technical & Operational Responsibility

  • Independent management of accounting for a clearly defined group of companies
  • Ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB - on time and in high quality
  • Review and approval of current business transactions, account reconciliations, and payment runs
  • Preparation and support of VAT pre-declarations and other tax obligations
  • Contact person for auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners
Team & Initial Leadership Responsibility
  • Technical leadership and further development of a small team
  • Onboarding of new team members, task distribution, and ensuring the quality of results within the team
  • First point of contact for technical questions, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Close collaboration with the Head of Accounting in the further development of processes and standards
Systems & Processes
  • Confident use of and active contribution to the accounting software DATEV as well as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Participation in the optimization of accounting processes and workflows within the team
  • Support in integrating new companies into existing processes and systems


Your Profile

Technical Qualification

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally as a Tax Assistant (m/f/d), Senior Accountant (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification

  • Several years of professional experience in accounting according to HGB, ideally in client support, including reliable preparation of monthly and annual financial statements

  • Initial experience in technical leadership or guidance of colleagues (e.g., as a team leader or senior with responsibility for junior colleagues)

  • Proficient in DATEV and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

  • German language skills at C1 level or above

  • Reliable, structured, and meticulous work approach

  • Strong communication skills, with enjoyment in working with clients and within the team

  • Ownership mindset – you take responsibility for your area and contribute actively

  • Team player with a passion for developing and bringing others along
