Team Leader Poliklinieken Reumatologie Interne Geneeskunde en MDL
Job description
For Spaarne Gasthuis, we are looking for a Team Leader Poliklinieken Reumatologie Interne Geneeskunde and MDL. Are you willing to take the step towards a versatile leadership role in a dynamic polyclinic environment where no day is the same?
Within the cluster of polyclinics Reumatology, Internal Medicine, and Gastrointestinal Diseases (MDL), we are looking for a team leader. Each of these polyclinics is self-organized, with its own specializations and patients, but with the same goal: delivering outstanding care.
You will work in teams that differ in size and composition. The team consists of polyclinic assistants, (specialized) doctor's assistants, medical students, physician assistants, specialized nurses (in training), and specialized nursing professionals.
Within the cluster is there a lot of attention for training. You guide, among others, doctor's assistants, specialized nurses, and nurse specialists. Additionally, you offer space to interns and work regularly with medical students who temporarily support the polyclinics.
Your role as team leader
You will start as a team leader on the Reumatology polyclinic and work intensively together with two colleague team leaders within the cluster. You, along with your colleagues, bear joint responsibility for the teams on all three polyclinics. On the Reumatology polyclinic, you will work together with 1 polyclinic assistant, 7 doctor's assistants, 1 senior doctor's assistant, 5 rheumatology nurses, 1 physician assistant, 1 nurse specialist, and 10 rheumatologists.
Since April 2023, within Spaarne Gasthuis a new leadership structure has been introduced. The department head works together with the team leaders and seniors to fill this structure. As a team leader, you are operationally responsible and take an active role: you think about policy, bring ideas in, get space to learn, don't need to know everything already, and get the chance to develop as a leader.
Integration and cooperation
At this moment, the three polyclinics are still spread over three locations, but the plan is to bring them together on one central location at two locations. The first steps towards this integration have already been taken. Team leaders and senior doctor's assistants now work closely together: there are joint meetings, projects are aligned, and new ways of working are jointly shaped.
You think actively about how to look beyond the borders of your own polyclinic, with an eye for the greater whole. New colleagues, doctor's assistants, and polyclinic assistants are cluster-wide appointed, so that knowledge and experience can be better shared and more flexibility arises in the teams.
What will you work on?
You will, together with your colleague team leaders and seniors, tackle a number of important themes for the coming year:
No day is the same
The work on the polyclinic is dynamic, with many different patient flows and processes. You see plenty of opportunities to improve, develop, and think differently. This is also necessary due to the great challenges, such as a projected growth in healthcare demand of 12% by 2030.
Do you get energy from changing and innovating, have a fresh perspective, and see opportunities instead of problems? Are you practically inclined, think creatively, and enjoy working together? Then this is an exciting function for you within the polyclinic cluster.
