Team Leader Monster Receiving

The monster receiving forms the logistical heart of the Clinical Chemical Laboratory within the Alrijne Hospital in Leiderdorp. Daily, our employees ensure that patient material is received correctly, on time, and according to existing quality standards, both within and outside the laboratory.

The monster receiving is the central logistical hub of the lab and thus the first point of contact and business card of the organization. There is intense collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, such as blood sampling, departments within the lab, and external dispatch locations. The department operates in a very dynamic environment where speed, accuracy, and supply chain cooperation are crucial.

The coming period will be marked by a clear improvement drive, with a focus on further streamlining and optimizing work processes.

As Team Leader Monster Receiving, you lead a team of laboratory employees. You combine operational management with coaching, process improvement, and alignment with internal and external partners.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Leading, guiding, and supporting employees in their daily work activities
• Caring for the development of employees through coaching, training, and feedback
• Creating and maintaining a positive work atmosphere and an open, professional team culture
• Optimizing and further streamlining work processes within monster receiving
• Maintaining and improving quality, safety, and compliance with protocols and guidelines
• Conducting performance and evaluation discussions
• Intensively collaborating with blood sampling, colleague team leaders, planners, and external dispatch locations
• Serving as a point of contact within the chain and contributing to customer-oriented service delivery
• Identifying bottlenecks, quickly responding to disruptions, and solution-focused action
• Contributing to improvements in IT and registration systems that support monster logistics
• Setting up and supporting processes for scientific trials from the hospital
