Team Leader Logistics Meppel

Do you want to build a new DPD location and lead in a logistics environment where no day is the same? Then we are looking for you as a Logistics Team Leader in Meppel. In this role, you will lead an operational team daily. You will ensure safe and efficient parcel processing, focus on results, and achieve the best out of every workday together with your team.

Where will you work?

You will join a new team at our location in Meppel. You will report to the Operations Manager and, together with fellow team leaders, you will lead a team of permanent employees and senior employees, supported by a flexible pool of 30 to 40 colleagues. You will work in a fixed rotating roster with the following shifts:

• 03:00 - 11:30 AM (night/morning)

• 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (afternoon/evening)

What will you do?

• Manage, coach, and develop employees.

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing parcel flows.

• Monitor quality, safety, and productivity.

• Manage KPIs and operational results.

• Identify and resolve process disruptions.

• Ensure efficient personnel planning.

• Initiate and implement process improvements.

• Prepare reports and handovers.

What do we offer you?

• A salary between € 2,931.25 and € 4,187.50 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.

• A position of 38.75 (1 FTE) hours per week.

• A favorable ORT (irregular hours allowance)

  • 30% between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM;

  • 45% between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM;

  • 50% on Saturdays and Sundays;

  • 100% on public holidays;

What do you bring?

• MBO+ or HBO work and thinking level.

• Experience as a team leader, supervisor, shift leader, or manager.

• Experience within logistics, transport, warehousing, or production.

• Experience in managing operational teams.

• Knowledge of KPI management and personnel planning.

• Good communication skills.

• A coaching and results-oriented mindset.

• Willingness to work in rotating afternoon and night shifts.
