As a Logistics Team Leader at DPD in Berkel en Rodenrijs, you ensure that our daily sorting and distribution processes run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will lead a team of permanent and flexible employees, monitor progress, and continuously focus on quality, productivity, and safety.

You are visibly present on the work floor, motivate colleagues to achieve their best, and identify opportunities to optimize processes. No two days are the same. Together with your team, you ensure that thousands of packages reach their destination on time every day.

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our depot in Berkel en Rodenrijs, where thousands of packages are processed daily. You will work closely with other team leaders, supervisors, and operational colleagues.

You will work in a two-shift system:

• 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

• 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM

Additionally, you will be available for occasional Saturday shifts.

What will you be doing?

You will start your shift with a handover from your colleague, review operational results, and discuss the schedule with your team. During the shift, you will maintain oversight, direct employees, and resolve operational bottlenecks. You will monitor KPIs and ensure that work is carried out safely and as agreed.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinating and directing the daily logistics operation.

• Developing and monitoring staff and capacity plans.

• Motivating, coaching, and developing employees.

• Monitoring productivity, quality, and operational KPIs.

• Identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements.

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and work instructions.

• Providing reports and ensuring a smooth handover to colleagues and management.

   

What do we offer you?

• A salary between €2,931.25 and €4,187.50 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.

• A full-time position of 38.75 hours per week (1 FTE).

• Attractive irregular hours allowance (ORT):

  • 30% between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM;

  • 45% between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM;

  • 50% on Saturdays and Sundays;

  • 100% on public holidays.

What do you bring?

• MBO+ work and thinking level, preferably in logistics or transport.

• At least 2 years of experience in a logistics or operational environment.

• Experience in managing, coaching, or guiding employees.

• Willingness to work in shifts and occasionally on Saturdays.

• Good command of the Dutch language. English is a plus.

• Experience with LEAN or process improvement is a plus.

• You are results-oriented, decisive, and maintain an overview under pressure.

• You have an eye for safety and quality.
