To further strengthen our joint insurance activities, we are looking for an experienced Teamleader Verzekeringen who supports and coaches the team in Liege (Fléron) and Hasselt. You will be regularly present at our head office in Zaventem and ensure connection, structure, and quality within the team, with a clear focus on motor and property insurance.
Your role & impact
As Teamleader Verzekeringen, you are the daily point of contact for a team of 15 insurance colleagues. You combine content expertise in motor and property insurance with coaching leadership. You ensure that your team delivers high-quality work, remains motivated, and continues to develop.
You will work closely together with operations and management, but your focus lies on people, quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
What you do
- Team coaching & leadership
- Daily guide, coach, and motivate a team of insurance colleagues
- Conduct feedback and development conversations
- Onboard new employees and train them
- Function as an insurance expert for motor and property insurance
- Participate in complex cases and perform quality control
- Maintain correct application of procedures and regulations
- Optimize work processes and customer flows
- Signal bottlenecks and formulate improvement proposals
- With the team, strive for high customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, compliance, partners)
- Report on team performance, quality, and workload
Location: Fléron – Hasselt – Zaventem (HQ)
What you bring
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in insurance, with a clear focus on motor and property
- A proven track record in leading or coaching a team
- Strong people skills: you motivate, structure, and create trust
- Good knowledge of FSMA- and IDD-regulations
- In possession of the VVD (Verantwoordelijke voor Distributie) status
- You work accurately, solution-oriented, and maintain overview
- Bilingual Dutch-French is an absolute must
- Experience with digital tools and CRM systems is a plus
